About my music

Whatever kind of music I compose, the starting point is the same. Music is a language that carries all human activities and properties in an abstract form: movement, speech, sounds, conversational dramaturgy and emotions are strong elements in my music. Placing the music into a very strong sense of space and time, as I do when I write opera in particular, is also one of the most interesting elements for me to explore.

To me, music at its best, is the strongest representation of human life, that was ever invented. By humans.

You could say that all of my music aims to communicate, which sounds very much like a cliché… but I do try to make my music to sound and act on as many levels as possible, which in the (at least that is my ambition) end carries my music beyond the clichés… even the modernist ones!

My music is for the most part available through the Swedish MIC, apart from the odd choral piece which you can find at the publishing house Gehrmans Musikförlag. If you have questions concerning my music, do not hesitate to write me an e-mail!
